My healing arts journey began in 2019 at East- West Institute, where I focused on cultivating a blend of traditional Chinese massage (TuiNa) and western modalities like Swedish and Deep Tissue massage. It's here that I developed my background in Chinese medicine with techniques such as acupressure, tongue and pulse assessment, qi gong breathwork, and yin yang/ five element theory. This is also where I met my mentor, Acupuncturist Hong Zhang, who I still work with today- link below.
In 2022, I received my Herbalist Certificate, which gave me a whole new lens on the healing powers of plants. I crafted my materia medica with western herbs to help the musculoskeletal, skin, digestive, and respiratory systems. While I am not a doctor and do not "prescribe" herbs, I do offer homemade herbal tea blends in the clinic.
In 2023, I continued my journey to Costa Rica where I completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training. An expanded view on anatomy and body movements allowed me to add more stretching and Thai style techniques into my practice. I often suggest stretches for post massage care, as this can prolong the healing effects of massage.
This combination of techniques allows me to look at the whole person, acknowledging that all systems in the body are interwoven. My goal is to provide balance by tailoring my treatment to your needs, and to support you on your wellness path.
